Territory Account Manager

Description

The Territory Account Manager will assist in strengthening AnaSpecs proteomics presence in the in their assigned territories (Northeastern US, mainly the Boston area) by strategically executing our business plan to maintain existing business, obtain new customers and increase revenue. This position will mainly be focused on B2B (Business-to-Business) customers while maintaining B2C (Business-to-Consumer) customers. This position will report to the Sales Manager and work closely with the Sales, Marketing & Production teams at our Fremont headquarters.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and Maintains a thorough Understanding of AnaSpec Chemistry Business (Peptides, Dyes, etc.), and designates themselves as competent point-person for this business among the Sales Team.
  • Works jointly and aggressively with Sales, Business Development and Marketing Team to Up-Sell incoming orders and constantly promoting current AnaSpec-EGT Quarterly Promotions.
  • Is instrumental in initiating and generating quotations.
  • Evaluates competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.
  • Closes new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information.
  • Nurtures accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features Enter new leads and/or share new leads with Business Development Managers.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Ensuring implementation, compliance, and continuous improvement of QMS through SOP documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with minimum 2 years of experience working in technical sales, business development, and/or lab work environment
  • Experience with Peptides preferred
  • Experience with commercial markets a plus
  • Experience providing technical presentations to customers and colleagues
  • Comfortable giving presentations in front of scientists

Purification Chemist

Description

General Responsibilities

  • Performs large scale peptide purification using reverse phase HPLC.
  • Performs sample preparation and analysis using analytical HPLC for purity and mass spectrometry for identity.
  • Analyses and troubleshoots methods and data obtained from individual projects.
  • Recommends alternatives and suggestions to improve processes, validity and/or accuracy.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots instruments, equipment and general lab areas if needed.
  • Maintains detailed records of results which may include collecting, extracting and entering data via both electronic and paper files (i.e., notebooks, logbooks, batch records, etc.)
  • Manage resources according to project priorities.
  • Assists in method development practices.

Synthesis Chemist I

The Synthesis Chemist I will perform peptide production and conduct in-process testing using Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).  As a member of the Synthesis department, the Synthesis Chemist I will work closely with the Purification, QC, and Sales & Business Development departments.

General Responsibilities

  • Perform the synthesis of peptides according to production procedures
  • Perform mass and purity analysis of in-process peptides using Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption- Time of Flight and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography
  • Complete and maintain written manufacturing documents
  • Prioritize projects and complete tasks in an efficient manner
  • Present and report project results weekly, or as requested by supervisor
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing to promote team learning and growth
  • Strictly follow laboratory safety protocols

QC Chemist

GMP Manufacturing Chemist

Description

The GMP Manufacturing Chemist will be responsible for supporting all GMP upstream and downstream peptide manufacturing related processes. The GMP Manufacturing Chemist will ensure prioritization, and proper documentation of projects. This individual will work closely with GMP downstream lead and GMP upstream lead. The GMP Manufacturing Chemist is also responsible for ensuring that the assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Inventory Specialist

Description

The Inventory Specialist will provide various support for the Supply Chain Department which includes inventory, shipping & receiving, and purchasing duties.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in cycle counts and annual physical inventory count
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties
  • Excellent record keeping and documentation skills
  • Post inventory transactions and movement of inventory in SAP
  • Prepare and package outgoing materials
  • Utilize FedEx / UPS / Freight companies to coordinate outgoing shipments
  • Prepare all appropriate shipping documentations
  • Fulfill sales orders including product packing, product picking, documentation, inventory replenishment and organization
  • Issues backorder notices to production
  • Review and process purchase order for accuracy and conformance to company policy
  • Represent company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers
  • Assist with RMAs with vendors and suppliers
  • Maintain and review records of items purchased, costs, and delivery
  • Assist in resolving purchasing problems between department and vendor
  • Establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with coworkers and company guests

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a supply chain environment
  • Hands-on experience in inventory process and control, preferably in biotech industry
  • Knowledge of purchasing processes a plus
  • Intermediate level of computer skills and working Knowledge of MS productivity software
  • Experience using SAP preferred
  • Knowledge of space utilization and of storage organization and FIFO process
  • Good mathematical skills and working knowledge of scientific unit conversion
  • Able to use scientific instruments, tools, and fixtures
  • Able to lift 30lbs and be on his/her feet for up to 6 hours per day
  • Able to work overtime during weekdays or on weekends
  • Able to work in temperature-controlled areas in 20 degree C
